Round 8 - Cinderford

Last time:
- Louis (by voleste) became a playable because of a ROS event, and moved in with the Sergeants
- Then he got engaged with his previous crush, Alice (by kahlena)
- In the end of the round he moved out



Oh, poor thing won't have electricity for 4 days XD I guess it takes time to recover those old wires...



Because he moved to the old Masterson house!



And changed it to his liking :)



Well, he didn't really have any money, so it's barely furnished



While he was eating his poor breakfast, he decided to go on a mission, to find Alice!
Because the phone wasn't working due to the power outage...



So he visited the Botanical Garden! :)



Since he loves photography, he took a few pictures in the beautiful environment!



Love is in the air for Leann Danielson and Brett Woods!



Well, he didn't find Alice, but Darcy (by Poppet) wasn't interested in his compliments



Then he suddenly started poking poor Gaston Banks. So it was time to leave the lot XD



I doubt he could see anything in the dark, but whatever XD



Well, that was a quite boring day XD



New day, new adventures! He visited the Town Hall to buy a cell phone!



Too bad, the device disappeared when he got home XD
So still no contact with Alice



Well, if he doesn't have his fiancée, at least he should dig up some stuff to make money!



Of course, Velma the creepy ex-townie girl let herself in. It wouldn't be her XD



And she was too excited



On Wednesday, every girl in pink walks by
Including Cailin Sergeant



Pointless picture is pointless



He continued the search for Alice!
At the Book Nook



No Alice, but at least he could study in daylight!



Okay, one more stop: Birch Park



At least, he played an exciting chess match with Evelyn (also by kahlena)



Annnd there she is! Alice finally appeared, yay! :D



Poor Hector townie, got hit by some falling ice



And the very evil warlock still hasn't mastered the proper ways of spellcasting



Finally, they went on a date :3



Now kiss, now make out!



Poor Berenice Danielson got pickpocketed
At least she made cute faces :3



Some flirting :3 in the bathroom...
So romantic



They did other things as well!





And she moved in and brought some money, yay! :D



So they could pay the bills XD



And she could clean the house a bit, for example angrily fill the hole that a certain wolf left here!



Another visit to the Town Hall, but for other purposes! :)



Because they decided to get married! :D







It was as exciting, as any other wedding ceremonies XD



At least Berenice was happy for them :)

The electricity got restored, so Louis could finally buy a little business, the Cinderford Photos!



It's not really interesting yet



But he sells some of his photographs!
That I have to clone manually...



Emily Sergeant and Darcy were all lost at first



Everyone wanted to buy these cameras, not the photos...



After some convincing, Robert the townie bought one :)



And the business reached Rank 1, yay, money XD



Berenice ended up buying a photo on her own, great job dear! :)



There was some pop when they headed home :)



Poor thing, pregnancy is tiring...





And that's all! The tax was 1200 simoleons

- Also, I have to remember to download more photo studio cc
- I don't think they'll move out, so I'll probably have to expand their house a bit

Yes, but they don't restock normally, you have to clone them with the inventory trick! It's a bit of a hassle, but I don't play that much time in one business during one round, so I can manage it :)

Yeah, generally I don't play more than say, 48 hours in a business at a time. (Largely because I am bad at running businesses and the only one I run on the regular belongs to a sim who is already permaplat, so...)

Inventory cloning trick? I'm not sure I remember what that is.

Yeah, the idea is to do a bunch of cc cleaning and essentially restart my game - I got Ultimate Collection some time back, but Origin was fighting with my old laptop and now that I have an external hard drive I can actually transfer my neighborhoods. (I also learned that the problem was Suckyrom and that therefore everything should go away if I run the game cracked. :D )

The inventory trick is quite easy, it's just hard to explain XD Basically, you put down a table, and then put the thing you want to clone on the table. Put the whole thing in the inventory. Close the inventory, open the inventory, then put out the table with the thing on its top. Remove the thing from the table, and put back the empty table to the inventory. Close the inventory, open the inventory, and the table will be in the inventory with the thing on its top, so now you'll have 2 things. I hope it makes sense XD I've seen it in a video by... Mara, maybe? I don't remember. But it's a neat little trick to clone unique objects :)

Oooh! I must try that the next time I open my game. I presume it works with craftables? And by table, you mean like an end table?

I haven't tried with craftables, but I'm pretty sure it works! And yes, any table or endtable, or maybe any surface? Maybe if it has multiple slots and you fill all of them you can clone multiple items in one go? I have to try if it works! :)

Just tested it, and it works on craftables and witch items! (Including multiple slots on maxis tables... should work for tables and shelves cloned from them properly, I think.) My witches are going to be over their plumbbobs with joy, no more slaving over that cauldron. :)

Yup. One of the best things about it, really.

(I mean, I know I could download the buyable witch ingredients, but I thought I could manage with my two witches... brewing just takes a long time, at least 3x what is reasonable for an item that gets used up. Plus, I like keeping craftables around for flavor. And for things like vacation photos this is priceless.)

I get what you mean! There are mods to speed up making ingredients or to make multiple at a time, but that's also a good way to duplicate them :) I like using them as decorations too! :D

I didn't know we can sell photos too haha. Sims 2 is such an old game but we keep discovering new things. And it's amazing :3 The photo business is cute in general. I haven't seen one before.
Can't wait to see the offspring. Alice is one of my favourite sims by Kahlena. Her children must be cuties ^^
Their little house is so adorable aaaw. I'm in love with tiny lots.
And that wedding picture is so simple but touching. I love it!

I didn't know either, but I wanted to try it! And it works mostly, but they don't restock normally, you have to use the inventory trick to clone them! But I love discovering new things about the game! :D I'm glad you like the business :)
I'm also sure that their babies will be cute! :D
I love tiny lots as well, because I usually lost when I have to fill huge spaces XD
